UMW serves to provide fellowship for the women of our church and to give meaningful service to our church and community.
Our goal is to balance our programs between education about issues pertinent to women, children and youth along with fellowship activities and service and mission oriented projects. Listed below are some of the programs we offer throughout the year.
Fall/Winter Schedule
November 24th, 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Healthy Eating During The Season
Lisa Corrado, of Corrado Nutrition, will give us some easy tips on how to eat and drink healthy during the holidays.
Holiday Outreach Program: UMW will collect gifts for the elderly residents of The Shelton Homes. Please place your wrapped gift in the large box in the Narthex.
Fellowship Programs
* Fall Pot Luck Dinner, often with a guest speaker
* Annual Brunch for the Congregation Fundraiser
* UMW Game Night, BUNCO has been the recent game of choice!
* Annual Christmas Party with live holiday music
* Crafts; scrapbooking and stamping were recent activities
* Women’s Fellowship Circles
* Annual Spring Salad Supper Educational Programs 
* Trip into the General Board of Global Ministries, NYC
* Where Does The Money Go program to explain financial giving
* Women's Retreat; spiritual and christian centered Outreach/Service/Mission Programs
* Healthy Heart-Healthy Living; informational seminar open to the community
* Journey in Mission; informational DVD discussing 10 women's mission work
* Valentine Boxes; packing up and sending out boxes of snacks to our college students
* Mission Guest Speakers; our own congregant, Nicole Kenega, discussed her work in Nepal
* Missions supported with financial contributions; Domestic Violence Crisis Center, Shelton Homes,
* New Canaan Food Bank, KAIROS, Meals on Wheels, Get-About local service and The Red
* Bird Mission
The true purpose of United Methodist Women is to know God, develop supportive fellowships and to expand concepts of mission particularly for the oppressed, with special attention to women, youth and children.
How To Get Involved
Any woman who commits herself to our purpose and participates in meetings, prayers, giving, action and service, can become a member. We ask that you commit to membership by filling out a pledge card, with or without a donation. You do not have to make a financial contribution to become a member!
